                                  Who was William Shakespeare?

William  Shakespeare  was  an  English playwright  and  poet. He  was  born  in  1564 in  Stratford-upon-Avon. He  wrote  comedies, histories  and  tragedies. Some  of  his  most  popular  plays  include  “ Romeo and  Juliet ”,“ Hamlet ” and  “ Much Ado  About  Nothing ”. In  1599  he  built  a  theatre, named  the “ Globe’’, in  London.
